Online application – Winter Semester 2017/2018

Dear CES-Interests,

the online application (uni-assist.de) has opened on April 3rd 2017 for the upcoming winter term 2017/2018. Deadline is September 1st 2017. All information for this process is provided on the CES website (Application).
 
The admission as well as the study regulations is subject to change for this new semester. Due to administrative reasons the publication of the official study regulations is scheduled for the summer time.

To keep you informed, the most important information is provided below.

 
Admission regulations (legally binding; full version in download section of CES Homepage):

• A bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in a subject essential for the degree program, such as prevention and rehabilitation in sport and medicine, sports science, health sciences (e.g., BA in sports therapy and prevention, BA / BSc in sports and health in prevention and therapy; BA / BSc in clinical health science; BA / BSc; BA / BSc in physiotherapy) with at least 180 credit points of coursework, at least half of which demonstrably dealt with scientific methodology and clinical exercise science.
• English language skills | at least C1 (CEFR); Evidenced by: UNIcert-III,  TOEFL (iBT: at least 95 points), Cambridge certificate of Advanced English (at least a grade of B), IELTS (at least 6.5 points and at least 6.0 in each field), Certificate of a degree from an English-language degree program or comparable proof.

The language of instruction is English. No knowledge of German language skills is required.


Update Study Regulations: 

The content and structure of the 1st year of the program stays the way as it is described in the current available study regulations (published 2009).

The new study regulation will be published as soon as the ministry of education officially approves it.

CES Symposium – Exercise Science Reviewed 2016

The sixth cohort of the Clinical Exercise Science program would like to express our gratitude for the opportunity to present our projects in the symposium. We express our appreciation towards Prof. Dr. F. Mayer and his co-workers in the Department of the Outpatient Clinic at the University of Potsdam for their guidance and support.IMG_8785oM Additionally, we would like to acknowledge the support and collaboration of our supervisors and lecturers: Prof. Dr. F. Mayer, Dr. M. Cassel, Dr. P. Kotsch, P. Krause, Dr. A. Krickhahn, Dr. O. Moser, J. Müller and A. Salzwedel. A special thank you to our guest speaker Eduardo Martinez for contributing to our symposium with his attendance and his enriching presentation. Dear colleagues, students and members of the faculty,
as the 6th Clinical Exercise Science cohort we are delighted to invite you to the 6th annual CES symposium at the University of Potsdam (Am Neuen Palais 10) House 12, Room 1.01 on the 12th of February 2016 at 12:30pm to 17pm.

It will be a privilege for us to host this years edition and we have all played our part as a cohort in ensuring a well organized and successful occasion. With several interesting topics of debate covered, we hope there is something of interest for every attendee.

CES Symposium - Applied Exercise Science -Flyer

The time has come again: the 3rd edition of the “Applied Exercise Science” symposium.

This symposium serves as an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the current research in the field of sports medicine and exercise science, conducted at the Outpatient Clinic of the University of Potsdam.

Therefore, we, the students of the Master-/PhD-Program ‘Clinical Exercise Science’ from the Potsdam University kindly invite you to join our poster presentations.

Presentations will take place on the 11th of October 2013 at 2:00 pm (14:00 Uhr) at the “Campus am Neues Palais”, House 12, in Room 1.01.

CES Symposium – Exercise Science Reviewed 2012

February 10th: the 2nd Symposium “Exercise Science Reviewed” took place at the University of Potsdam, Am Neuen Palais 10. An audience of about 40 people and some cake and coffee attended the Symposium which was conducted by the 2nd cohort of CES-students and the support of the University Outpatient Clinic team.

CES at EFSMA – First International Congress

From 26th to 29th of October 2011 the CES-students attended the 7th EfSMA -European Sports Medicine Congress hosted in Salzburg, Austria. The students presented posters of own research and participated in selected lectures following the agenda of the Congress ”Prevention, Performance – Return to Play, Return to Function”. Also, they joint particular workshops, e.g. tutorials of Isokinetics and EMG research.
