Topic of Thesis

Is there a connection between pain and central activation pattern of neuromuscular control in people with low back pain? – EMG analysis of perturbed gait

This research aims to reveal a connection between pain and possible changes in the central activation pattern of neuromuscular control in people with low back pain. Therefore, stumbling reactions of perturbed walk will be studied with an analysis of EMG activity of muscles proximal and distal to the trunk (pain region). Finally, patterns of neuromuscular control in reaction to the stumbling task will be compared between people with and without low back pain.
